It seems to be implied that the Masters entered our system as two or more fleets. Doesn't Lisa comment about the trip taking 1 day in Fold Space, but beining actually longer?

The Masters do communicate with the Elders in Ep.37, and one does get the impression the Elders where not close by as the location is mentioned. If they where part of the fleet they would already know the location.
