but beining actually longer?

The Masters do communicate with the Elders in Ep.37, and one does get the impression the Elders where not close by as the location is mentioned.  If they where
part of the fleet they would already know the location.

the technology and then I would assume that so do the Masters.

satellite *yesterday* which might suggest real time or close to real time communications. Although IIRC most Zentraedi communication is by couriers.

system. By SC they might have something considering Liberty Base was supposed to communicate with SDF-3/The Pioneer mission, and Carpenter&#39;s vessel
received their distress call, so it&#39;s possible that some form of basic FTL comms were available by then. ]]></description>
