I saw some concept drawings on Youtube. The human stuff looks nice and all, but it is the Zentradie stuff that has me a little worried. A lot of it doesn't look like anything like their ships or mecha from the series.

I'd like to see the first movie end with SDF-1 making it back to Earth. There's a lot of ground to cover in just that portion alone.

What really matters to me is how much style they put into this thing. They'd better make sure to keep the original theme score, or I'll scream. I've always wanted to hear the Robotech theme score in a big cinematic movie. That would just rock.

I'd particularly love it if they make a trailer that features that last...

Sci-Fi just re-posted the latest Hollywood Reporter piece on their own website.

My gut feeling? The movie will loosely cover the first half of the Macross Saga storyline, and (if I were Kasdan) climax with Rick and Max dueling Breetai and Khyron on Breetai's flagship.

Only update so far is this quote from an interview, which doesn't really say anything other than praise for Warner Bros. If anything, we learn Tommy can be evasive about answering direct questions (because, you know, that's the first time its ever happened).

Keep in mind that imdb entries are often fan submitted, although they are submitted by the production companies as well. The 2010 release year should not be seen as any confirmed official date, nor should the title be considered final.
