In Robotech, Rick (Hikaru) becomes O-1 in ep 8, so are you sure that it's Chuui (O-2) rather than Shoui (O-1) in ep 8 of SDFM?

According to my guidebook, he's promoted to Shoui in episode 8. He was probably promoted again after his escape from captivity from the Zentraedi (episode 16/17) or after the death of Roy Focker (Episode 18).
