The deleted scenes aren't much to talk about, and to be honest, spending another $25 just to see about 10 minutes of worthless deleted scenes is not worth the purchase. Neither is the commentary. I've seen the deleted scenes and it really isn't worth it. The packaging is nice, but aside from the commentary, I don't think there's anything in there that I've seen that makes the double dip in DVD sales worth it. My advice, bit torrent.

I was quite surprised at the nice artwork on the cover. It looks much better than the original box art. I think that looks wonderful, and the packaging is excellent. If you don't have RTSC, get this version just for the fancy box art if you are into that sort of thing, but if you have the movie already, getting this will upset you at how much more you paid for so little. That's just my opinion.

Expanding the fanbase will get you more product, as the more money and interest that flows back to HG, the greater the impetus for more new content. I've lent out my RTSC DVD out to quite a few people who weren't familiar with the show, and it's not worth repeating what they thought of it. Truth is, I really don't know anyone who became a fan from this movie. Although I do like the new product that came out, I still don't think $29 for the same thing with a few goodies is worth it. Production stills are something that if you really want, you can get those by freeze framing your regular $20 DVD on a computer and capturing the image. As what DW said about the commentary, to hear the same thing you'll hear on the Chris Meadows show, or a local convention, I can pass. The documentary from the first DVD is documentary enough. Animatics is basically storyboard in an animated form, and doesn't add any value to a purchase. The craft and mecha, that would be cool, but not $29 cool, LOL. It's a matter of opinion, but I would say that if you don't have the movie at all, buy the two disc version.

This is true, and the so-called naked aerial scene is pretty lame. You may have to zoom in, and I'm sure that if that's done, it may not even be much to view. Now, in thinking about how to view this, who's gonna be dumb enough to buy this just to see that? At AX 2007, the HG staff made it one of the staples in advertising the two-disc set, so all you pervs out there, get your money together, cause HG wants you to see some titay, ack ack ack!!!
