One has to consider the main thrust of the Delta propaganda is to keep the people in the CS, but make the people less trusting of their government, and more prone to think for themselves. In many ways, attracting too many defectors would defeat the purpose.

I went to Marcon this weekend; just got back. It was almost as if there was a dark cloud over the con; things were WAY too subdued compared to normal. This was because the convention's Guest of Honor, Robert Asprin, DIED OF A HEART ATTACK on Thursday, on the way to the convention. Needless to say, everyone was in a bit of a shock & disbelief condition.

On the bright side, since so much of the con WAS too quiet, I got few more pages typed of the fanfic while there. Still haven't finished that chapter - I may end up having to split it into two chapters, and go ahead and release what I've done so far later this week.
