I'm working to do some mock ups of the various mecha I plan to feature in my upcoming fic-series, so I figured I'd toss the preliminaries up here. First up, a VR-030-E, Electronics Warfare and Scout cyclone. I'm not fully wedded to the yellow I got at first, Still tweaking it a lot. I'm also working on a customized gauntlet/arm guard for her to wear. *Note, the yellow color scheme was inspired by one of the designs I saw while playing through Robotech:Invasion, So I feel safe that it's a non-standard color scheme used for certain special ops teams perhaps. More as it develops. Comments and Critiques welcome

For one thing it would stick out in the field like a sore thumb. Actually, its not a bright yellow and could be viewed as a desert scheme maybe.. I like it! Yellow is really not any worse than red anyway.

Corporal Posts: 35 (January 16, 2009 08:58 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	TY, I wasn't very satisfied with the yellow on this one, so I've gone back to the boards and rebuilt it, first with digibashes and soon more properly colored line art. The goal was to realize a desert camo scheme, so I think my new attempts are turning out a lot better from that. WARNING: ART Dump Ahead! You have been warned SDC-42 Emancipator It's sad this is the largest image of an Ikazuchi I can find anywhere, and I had to tweak it a ton to even get close to the right colors. Still, it's a start, so here's the Emancipator, a carrier in the 2nd Reclamation Force Grayle's VR-052-L This was a quick and very dirty digibash for me to use as a color guide, though the final product is going to look a lot better I hope. Standard issue Rand type Cyclone, just using the color scheme off Vince Grant's ride. VF/A-6Z, Gemini Squad Another Q&D digibash. While I liked how the over all look turned out, I'd really prefer something more like the 6H color spread. Still a long way to go on the proper version of this one. Yuki's VR-030-E This is the updated color scheme for the E-pack Cyclone. While I still am trying to work on improvising the upgrade/add on parts, here's what it will have: Right Arm: Mounted Ion disruptor (Similar to Cabel's web launcher) for disrupting targets directly. Left Arm: Mounted Computer Interface module and Hacking System, able to remotely uplink and hack various computer systems at close range. Also has a high sensitivity scanner for intelligence gathering. Backpack (Replaces rear end of seat mount): Radar/Scanner disrupting array and long range radar/communications system. A kind of miniaturized version of the EWAC's pack off the Elintseeker in some ways. Still tweaking the idea of it. Desert Camo VR-030 Series* Here's my mock-up/update of the original posed version. Might make use of this one with the M-pack, field Medic's kit at a later date. Competing Colors: VR-041-H I'm very torn over the look of this character. I wanted to try some different color schemes on the Saber Cyclone, and these were the Q&D results. I'm still deciding which I prefer for one particular character to use, but that's a while ahead yet. Winter Colored VF/A-6H It is a royal pain to digibash a blue plane to look white! Yesh! Anyway, this is a first shot at doing a winter camo-scheme alpha fighter, custom painted of course. VM-9L Silverback - Desert Camo This is my best one yet personally. It's also the only properly done one of the batch. I came across the Silverback in PTTSC, and I really liked the idea. Makes me wish Lunk had one of these to cruise around in, then maybe he would have felt more useful. I also decided to go with the mock-desert coloring to fit in with certain elements of my story. Sadly, the battloid mode line art is far from useful at the moment, so not sure if I will ever get around to it. Who knows. Q&D Invid alternate colors I'm kicking around a few "officer" Invid characters/mecha, so these were just some fast shops to see what could be.
