So I am looking to pick up some Macross model kits as a cheaper alternative to other expensive high grade figures.
Thing is, I don't really know what's out there and more importantly, what's good for your buck.
I'd like to get a range of versions of the VF-1, preferably transformable, A, J, D, and S models. Possability would be plus, but just basic movement in battloid and wings moving in fighter would be enough. I plan to do custom painting and detailing of them. I figure models are the easiest to do this with (though I am still open to an inexpensive action figure version I suppose).
Also, Legioss/VFA-6 models seem to pop up from time to time, are any of them of pretty good quality?
Any tips on good models, good sites (aside from HLJ) to check out?
