Canon-wise, its hard to get solid info on the complete picture/story of the game. The story involved other Earth resistance groups right? er...

ROBOTECH TIMELINE - Events from Robotech Invasion

2009.

The future fiance of Tasha Dixon is born.

2019.

Tasha Dixon is born. Her father is a member of the REF.

2031.

The Invid commanded by the Regess conquers the Earth. The remnants of the Army of the Southern Cross is destroyed. The Third Robotech War begins.

Tasha's father is on Earth during the Invid occupation, having come to Earth during the Second Robotech War to battle the Robotech Masters. His fate remains unknown.

During the Invid occupation, the scientist Dr. Osmund will be forced to work in an Invid Genesis Pit, performing research into Invid adaptation to the Earth. He develops an intense desire for revenge against the Invid.

2038.

The fiance of Tasha Dixon becomes a member of the Mars 10th Division. He promises that he will return to her.

September 2038.

The Robotech Expeditionary Force (REF) sends Mars 10th Division to led the Earth Reclaimation Mission to destroy Reflex Point on Earth. Members of the 10th Mars Division include Lance Belmont (Lancer), and two REF soldiers who will became the genetic templates for the Solugi (Invid that are granted human form) named Locke and Xed. The template for the Locke Invid is the fiance of Tasha Dixon. The 10th Mars Division also has incomplete research into the Destabilizer, an REF particle beam weapon in development that can theoretically negate Invid force fields.

September 15, 2038.

The Earth Reclaimation Mission Task Force is destroyed by Invid forces. Lancer survives and becomes a resistance fighter. Two REF soldiers are captured and will later be used as genetic templates for the Invid Solugi known as Locke and Xed. The Regess intends to eventually have them infiltrate the REF.

Sometime after the destruction of the 10th Mars Division, the incomplete research for the Destabilizer cannon is acquired by Dr. Osmund. He begins his research into Destabilizer technology, eventually discovering the frequency of Invid force fields. With the frequency, Osmund could perfect the design that would allow the Destabilizer to negate the energy fields. He would eventually use this technology to construct the Destabilizer hovertank prototype and two H-109P Destabilizer portable cannons.

September 2042.

The REF 21st Mars Division arrives for 2nd Earth Reclaimation to destroy Reflex Point on Earth. Members of the 21st Mars Division include Scott Bernard. The Mars Group is destroyed by Invid forces. Bernard survives and crash lands in South America. He begins to journey north to Reflex Point, and forms a resistance group whose membership includes Lancer.

November 2042.

The towns of Canyon Falls and Farthing in South America are besieged by a nearby Invid Hive and a human gang called the Black Skulls. The local militia of Canyon Falls is led by REF commander Silas, and includes Arturo, Clay Kincaid, Guppy and Sam. The Regess prepares to have her two Solugi spies, genetically based upon captured REF soldiers, infiltrate resistance groups. The Solugi named Xed watches over his fellow Solugi, who suffers trauma during the transformation to humanoid form.

November 29, 2042.

The Canyon Falls militia suffer heavy losses when attacking the nearby Hive, loosing over 100 men. The militia is rescued through the timely intervention of Scott Bernard. Silas and his group escape back to Canyon Falls. During the battle, the traumatized Solugi falls from the Hive. He is found by Arturo and his men, of which only four survived, and is brought back to Canyon Falls.

During their return to Canyon Falls, Arturo and his group come under fire from the Black Skulls, with a rogue shot killing an injured REF soldier named Locke. The Solugi regains consciousness, but is amnesiac with no memory of his previous life or the fact that he is an Invid. Arturo gives him the CVR-3 armor and name of the fallen soldier Locke. The Solugi, now known as Locke, is taken to Silas and joins his militia. He continues to have flashbacks of memories from both his life as an Invid and the life of the REF soldier with whose memories he has been infused with.

Arturo and Locke infiltrate a nearby train depot controlled by the Black Skulls, and Locke recovers a VR-052 Battler Cyclone. Locke assists Sam in recovering stolen Protoculture and battling the Skulls. He also engages in an operation with Silas that destroys the local Invid Hive, freeing the people of Canyon Falls and Farthing of the Invid.

Silas and his group head north to eventually rendezvous at Point L in North America, intended by the REF to be a staging area for an assault on Reflex Point. Locke remains behind to have his Battler upgraded by Guppy, and they soon follow the others.

July 2043.

The Regess decides that the human form is the optimum form to adapt for survival on Earth. She transforms the Invid named Corg and Sera into their Solugi forms and provided with Gosu mecha. The Invid known as Resa is later transformed and given a Gosu mecha as well.

Before July 2044.

During his time as a Solugi and disguised as an REF soldier, Xed has developed a strong will independent of the Invid. He has been pursuing Locke in an attempt to persuade his brother to turn against the Regess. During this time he appropriates a VFB-9 Beta. He also develops human contacts to aid him in his quest, including a contact in the city of Graystone.

Locke and Guppy catch up with Arturo, whose Cyclone has stalled. They meet in Graystone, a city in the Wastelands the had once been the home to Jack Archer and Wolf Squadron during the years following the Zentaedi holocaust. There they encounter Scott Bernard and Lancer, who are collecting Protoculture for their mecha. Both groups defend the town together when Invid from a nearby Genesis Pit attack. A contact of Xed, who dwells in Graystone, observes Locke and believes he is the person that Xed is searching for.

Locke, Arturo and Guppy investigate a crashed Ikazuchi cruiser nearby. They encounter scavengers headquartered in the ship. Locke and company then arrive at the fortress of Dr. Osmund, who is conducting tests with his Destabilizer hovertank prototype. His fortress prevents them further progress, and Osmund denies them passage. Locke infiltrates the fortress, and allows his companions with access.

Invid destroy a bridge on their journey, and Locke becomes briefly separated from Arturo and Guppy. Locke navigates through sewers and remnants of the Transatlantic Railway, until the driver of an armored vehicle transports him to the REF encampment under the command of Silas. After they destroy a nearby Hive, Silas leads Locke, Arturo and Guppy along the Interstate 40 Highway to Bygone Swamps on their way to Point L. Clay Kincaid and Sam continue their journey to Point L along an alternative route.

July 2044.

Large numbers of REF ground forces and resistance fighters assemble near Reflex Point for a major assault. Amongst these staging areas include nearby Point L.

July 2, 2044.

The REF Jupiter Attack Group arrives at Earth to prepare for their assault on Reflex Point. Members of the Jupiter Division include Tasha Dixon, Maria Allentes and the 9th Shadow Dancer Division (including Anna and Vera) and intelligence officer Sue Graham. New technologies are brought to Earth with the Jupiter Division, including a Synchro Cannon, Shadow Alpha and Beta Veritech fighters and Shadow Dancer Cyclones. Jupiter Division establishes contact with various REF forces on Earth, including Point L.

July 2044.

Xed, in his guise as an REF soldier, steals a VFA-6X Shadow Alpha and a VR-064 Shadow Dancer Cyclone from the REF Jupiter Group, and one of the two H-109P Destabilizers from Dr. Osmund. He seeks Locke in an attempt to persuade his brother to turn against the Regess. He travels to a city near Point L in his search for Locke.

Tasha Dixon takes a Horizont transport to Earth to render aid to REF forces at Point L. The troops at Point L are ambushed by Invid and Tasha, using her VR-038 Bartley Cyclone, accompanies the REF Synchro Cannon to a nearby Invid Hive. The cannon is damaged during the battle and is transported to Reflex Point by the REF. Tasha encounters Xed in a nearby city, and he claims that he is an agent searching for an Invid that has taken human form to infiltrate the REF. They escape the city with the use of the H-109P Destabilizer. Tasha agrees to help him search for the Invid infiltrator, unaware that Xed is using her to hunt Locke.

Tasha and Xed travel to Graystone within his Beta fighter and learns from his contact that the Solugi that Xed is seeking has traveled through the city. While Tasha is investigating a nearby rock formation, the Solugi named Resa attacks in her Gosu mecha and knocks her into a deep chasm. Xed pursues Locke towards Bygone Swamps.

Tasha awakens to find herself deep within a subterranean Genesis Pit, created by the Invid to test the evolutionary processes of Earth. She and several other trapped REF members survive an onslaught from the mutated creatures dwelling in the caves, and she narrowly survives the destruction of the Genesis Pit. She emerges from the pit in the vicinity of Bygone Swamps.

Locke, Silas, Arturo and Guppy arrive at Bygone Swamps by traveling along the ruins of the Interstate 40 Highway. While investigating an abandoned weapons factory, Locke discovers and appropriates a VR-041 Saber Cyclone. Arturo and Locke are briefly pursued by Resa in her Gosu mecha, and they discover a crashed Garfish cruiser nearby. Locke uses its main cannon to remove a large obstacle preventing them from continuing the last few miles to Point L.

Xed arrives in Bygone Swamps and confronts Silas in the weapons factory. When Silas refuses to tell Xed where Locke is located, Xed kills him. Locke overhears the conflict through Silas' radio. Tasha arrives and witnesses the murder of Silas, and Xed tells her that Silas was protecting the Invid spy. Xed enters the crashed Garfish and has a brief altercation with Locke. Arturo and Guppy are forced to flee towards Point L as several Invid arrive. Xed travels towards the Invid Hive located near Point L while being pursued by Locke.

Tasha encounters Dr. Osmund, who has completed the development of his Destabilizer hovertank prototype, and is testing the weapon by attacking the Invid in Bygone Swamps. Resa arrives and Osmund attacks her with his H-109P Destabilizer, but he is forced to flee, but Tasha is overwhelmed and imprisoned in the Invid Protoculture Camp near Darkwoods. While he is fleeing, Osmund looses his H-109P Destabilizer in a valley near Darkwoods.

Clay Kincaid, Sam, Arturo and Guppy arrive at Point L to discover that its forces have been decimated by the Invid. Clay and Guppy are captured by the Invid and placed in the Invid Protoculture Camp, where Clay encounters fellow inmate Tasha Dixon. Arturo and Sam seek refuge in the nearby town of Darkwoods.

Locke pursues Xed into the Invid Hive that the forces from Point L had failed to destroy, where he is confronted by his Invid heritage. Xed places several mines throughout the Hive and escapes. Locke manages to escape the destruction of the Hive through underground tunnels, which lead him to Darkwoods.

Sam and Locke defend the city of Darkwoods from an Invid assault, and Arturo uses a nearby antennae array to contact the Jupiter Group in orbit. Clay Kincaid instigates a riot in the Invid Protoculture Camp, as Locke and REF troops storm the front gate. During the mass escape, Clay and Guppy make it to safety, but Tasha Dixon is briefly knocked unconscious. Xed arrives in his VFA-6X Shadow Alpha and observes Locke. The escapees head towards the city of Garrison, where they join the local militia in an assault on two nearby Hives. Locke receives from the REF a VR-055 Devastator Cyclone, and he and Guppy travel to Garrison to meet the militia. The Garfish cruiser of Admiral Richard Hunter is used to destroy the Hives, but is destroyed itself in the process. The group continues to Reflex Point, with Locke and Sam taking a route through Mont Elise, and Guppy and Arturo taking an alternate route.

Tasha Dixon awakens in Darkwoods and receives a communication from a Horizont transport from the Jupiter Group descending from orbit. The transport carrying the 9th Shadow Dancer Division is shot down by the Invid near the town, but they are rescued by Tasha. The division is led by Maria Allentes, with its members include Anna and Vera, and they pilot the new VR-064 Shadow Dancer Cyclones. They provide Tasha with a Shadow Dancer Cyclone.

Tasha and Anna enter the nearby valley where Osmund had lost his H-109P Destabilizer. They use the cloaking ability of the Shadow Dancer Cyclones to battle two Invid Grappler mecha, and recover the Destabilizer. Tasha and the Shadow Dancer Division rendezvous with Clay Kincaid, who pilots a Horizont transport.

Clay Kincaid transports Tasha and the Shadow Dancers to a mountain pass near Mont Elise, which would allow them to arrive at Reflex Point. They are confronted by Dr. Osmund, who demands the return of his H-109P Destabilizer. He collapses the entrance to the pass, but both he and his Destablizer hovertank are destroyed during the ensuing battle. The Shadow Dancers are recovered by Clay, who transports them over the mountains in the Horizont.

Locke and Sam travel through Mont Elise to the mountain pass, only to find the pass destroyed. They traverse over the mountains to Reflex Point.

July 18, 2044.

The final REF Earth Reclaimation Mission armada prepare for their final assault on Reflex Point. They prepare to use Shadow fighters during their initial attack, and ultimately to destroy Earth with the Neutron S missiles if they to retake the planet.

Arturo and Guppy arrive at Reflex Point, and participate with the REF in their battle against the Invid.

The resistance group of Scott Bernard and Lancer enter Reflex Point with the aid of the Solugi called Ariel, known the Bernard and Lancer as Marlene who had begun to manifest Protoculture energies. During the Battle of Reflex Point, they confront the Regess and convince her that continuation of the conflict will destroy both races. Regess makes preparations to transform the Invid into energy and depart Earth.

Locke and Sam arrive at Reflex Point and receive a radio message from Clay Kincaid in the Horizont. Locke destroys several plasma cannons that threaten the transport, and Clay descends safely. The Shadow Dancer Division disembark from the Horizont, and Tasha Dixon uses the H-109P Destabilizer to penetrate a hole within the barrier surrounding Reflex Point. The Shadow Dancers enter the barrier, but when Locke and Sam pursue them, Sam is killed by Invid fire.

The Shadow Dancers detect Locke's approach and hide themselves to observe. Locke is able to enter the Hive with ease, and Maria Allentes realizes he may be an Invid spy. Locke encounters and battles Resa in her Gosu mecha, and she flees as the Shadow Dancers approach. Locke falls to his knees as Tasha appears. She holds a weapon to his head, and is shocked to discover that he is identical to her fiance. Maria orders Tasha to kill Locke, as Xed arrives on the scene armed with a VR-064 Shadow Dancer Cyclone, with a weapon drawn on Tasha.

TIMELINE DIVERGENCE A (Locke ending)

July 18, 2044.

Tasha Dixon fires upon Xed, but his armor absorbs the damage. He retaliates and shoots Tasha, killing her. Maria Allentes and the Shadow Dancers open fire on Xed, but he escapes into the Hive. During the confusion, Locke takes the Destabilizer that Tasha had dropped. He flees into the Hive as well, with the Shadow Dancers in pursuit.

Locke enters the Hive, only to find that the Invid do not pursue him. He encounters Maria and the Shadow Dancers, and during the ensuing battle is forced to kill them while defending himself.

Locke confronts Xed upon a large tower, and finds that Xed has appropriated the Overlord, an Invid prototype variable mecha. Xed concludes that Locke will not side with him against the Regess, and he attacks Locke. During the battle, Locke penetrates the energy field of the Overlord with the Destabilizer. The Overlord mecha is destroyed and Xed begins to manifest Protoculture energies. Locke destroys Xed with the Destabilizer, as the Regess transforms the Invid on Earth into energy. Locke himself is transformed to energy and rejoins the Invid as they depart from Earth. During the departure of the Invid from Earth, the Regess destroys the Neutron S missiles and much of the REF fleet.

In the aftermath of the Battle of Reflex Point, the REF survivors celebrate their victory. Arturo and Guppy set out in an attempt to locate Locke.

TIMELINE DIVERGENCE B (Tasha Dixon first ending)

July 18, 2044.

Tasha Dixon decides to execute Locke, and in retaliation Xed fires upon the Shadow Dancers, killing Anna and Vera. During the melee, Xed flees into the Hive. He is pursued by Maria Allentes and Tasha, who is armed with the Destabilizer.

Tasha Dixon and Maria Allentes confront Xed within the power core of Reflex Point. Xed attacks Tasha while piloting a VFA-6X Shadow Alpha in battloid mode. Tasha manages to destroy Xed within the Alpha, and then uses the Destabilizer to fire upon the power core. She flees the chamber as the core explodes. The Regess transforms the Invid on Earth into energy and departs the Earth. During the departure of the Invid from Earth, the Regess destroys the Neutron S missiles and much of the REF fleet.

In the aftermath of the Battle of Reflex Point, the REF survivors celebrate their victory. Tasha Dixon tells a nearby REF Commander, clad in camoflague armor with with a skull insignia, that she was unable to locate her fiance. She rides off on her Shadow Dancer Cyclone, vowing that if he lives, she will find him.

TIMELINE DIVERGENCE C (Tasha Dixon second ending)

July 18, 2044.

Tasha Dixon decides to stay her hand, and not fire upon Locke. Before Xed has the opportunity to react, the Shadow Dancers open fire upon Locke and Xed, killing both Invid. Maria Allentes cannot understand the reason for her hesitation, and orders Tasha and the Shadow Dancers to enter Reflex Point.

The Shadow Dancer Division enters the power core of Reflex Point. Resa arrives in her Gosu mecha and kills Anna and Vera. During the battle with the Gosu, Tasha penetrates its energy field with the Destabilizer and destroys it. She then uses the Destabilizer to fire upon the power core. The Regess transforms the Invid on Earth into energy and departs the Earth. During the departure of the Invid from Earth, the Regess destroys the Neutron S missiles and much of the REF fleet.

EPILOGUE

July 24, 2044.

Lancer holds a concert in celebration of the REF victory during the Battle of Reflex Point. Scott Bernard travels to Moon Base ALuCE to join the REF in their search for the missing battlefortress, the SDF-3 Pioneer.
